On the side of the road...
I saw a sign bearing this message:
God rained down fire and brimstone once. He will do it again.
Who are the people who believe this crap (yes, I think it's crap) and why can't they keep it to themselves?!?!
In other news, the "YMCA Jesus" statue now has fountains installed in its pond. Seriously, what are these people going to think of next? Doesn't it just make you want to take a trip to Ohio so you can see this stuff?

oh, ha ha. For a second I thought the statue was actually a YMCA statue, and I was about to be disgusted that an organization like the YMCA would be spending so much money on something like a giant Jesus statue with fountains instead of giving the money to children who can't afford day camp or something.... but then I looked at the pictures and discovered that the Jesus statue is *doing* the YMCA dance.... which is a whole lot funnier than the Y spending money on fountains and whatnot. :)
Yeah, I probably should have clarified that. This is not a YMCA endorsed statue, but Jesus is totally doing the YMCA hand motions. If you go to their guest book, you'll see comments from people who asked why they spent all this money on a 42' statue of Jesus (and let's face it, that can't have been cheap) instead of giving the money to charity.
We are SO going to visit the YMCA Jesus statue over Labor Day. I think the Turner-Straight wedding party needs to be photographed doing the YMCA in front of the statue! I think an entire collection of Sisterfriend Heads needs to do the YMCA in front of the Jesus statue.
It will be like the time my London Photo class irritated drivers on the Abbey Road crosswalk for two hours while taking every possible combination of photos, including one with two nice tourists from Japan and a police man.
LOVE all the photo ideas, and maybe I can get a sneak peek of the YMCAing Jesus on August 1, woooooo!
